Post-Marketing Surveillance workshop

AMR is happening here and now. It is one of the biggest threats to global health, food security and development today.

The VMD in partnership with FAO trained the VMD staff on post-marketing surveillance and pharmacovigilance on 4th November 2022. The training mainly targeted on identifying the causes of Anti Microbial Resistance on Veterinary drugs. The major concerns of the training was to determine the effects on the use of oxytetracycline powders and penstrep injectables.

The selected counties for the post-marketing surveillance activity are Garissa, Busia, Taita-Taveta, Kajiado and Kiambu.
